PAUL AMETEPI

Dr. Ametepi is a Public Health specialist by training and an entrepreneur at heart. He is the founder and Executive Director of Inspired Options Inc., a personal services organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities integrates successfully and live quality lives in the community.
 

Prior to establishing Inspired Options Inc, Dr. Ametepi worked for the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health for 13 years in various capacities. At the time he resigned from Johns Hopkins University in 2016, he was the Senior Health Advisor to the Demographic Health Surveys, a USAID-funded project. As Senior Health Advisor, he provided technical leadership to the program’s health portfolio, including, but not limited to, the collection and measurement of biomarkers and other health data in its population surveys, the design and implementation of health facility surveys, and the analysis and dissemination of the project’s health-related data.

His time with Johns Hopkins provided him with the opportunity to work in multiple countries in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi) and Asia (Nepal, Bangladesh), helping them assess and strengthen their health systems. 

Dr. Ametepi obtained his medical degree (MD) from the Stavropol State Medical Academy, Russia, and Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
