LEADING WITH VISION - ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Dr. Jasbir Kaur is the Founder, President, and CEO of RISE International Consulting LLC. A globally recognized expert in population-based surveys and evaluation, she brings over 25 years of technical and strategic leadership in international development, public health, nutrition, and food security.

Dr. Kaur has led the design and execution of complex, multi-country surveys for institutions such as USAID, CDC, UNICEF, the World Bank, USDA, and WHO—delivering high-impact data and insights that inform both national and global policy agendas. Her expertise spans the entire survey and evaluation lifecycle, including methodological design, capacity strengthening, data analysis, and translating evidence into actionable policy.

Before founding RISE, Dr. Kaur held senior leadership positions at prominent research and consulting firms, where she directed major initiatives under USAID’s Feed the Future and DHS programs, and the CDC’s PHIA and NHANES surveys. She played a pivotal role in developing the Feed the Future Zone of Influence Survey Methods Toolkit and successfully led the $69 million Surveys for Monitoring in Resilience and Food Security project.

Renowned for her strategic insight and cross-sector collaboration, Dr. Kaur has worked closely with host governments, national statistical offices, and multilateral agencies in over 20 countries, providing technical assistance to more than 70 large-scale surveys. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and Epidemiology, as well as master's degrees in international health and clinical nutrition.

Under her leadership, RISE International Consulting continues to drive innovation in research, deliver rigorous evidence, and build partnerships that support the priorities of national and international organizations working to improve health, nutrition, and development outcomes.
